Haas Hall Academy provides an aggressive alternative to the traditional learning environment for scholars with a high intensity of purpose, enabling them to succeed at the nation's prestigious universities and become pillars of their community. With an accelerated college preparatory curriculum for scholars in grades 7-12, graduates find that their first semester of college is primarily a review because of the intensive preparation they received while at Haas Hall Academy.

Opening with one campus in the fall of 2004, the state's first open-enrollment charter high school focusing on rigor and high academic standards has expanded to five campuses in Fayetteville, Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale and Fort Smith. Each campus has its own characteristics, with students from a wide range of socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds. As a school of choice, many scholars travel from the outer edges of the community to attend Haas Hall Academy.

Haas Hall Academy regularly earns high achievements. In the 2022 U.S. News & World Report, Haas Hall Academy was named the #1 Public High School in Arkansas for the 12th straight year, the #3 Charter School in the US and the #13 Public High School in the US. Each campus received Advanced Placement Platinum Level Awards for their high AP scores and the number of AP courses they offer. In 2024, Niche listed Haas Hall Academy at The Jones Center as the #1 Charter School in Arkansas and the #2 High School in Arkansas. Haas Hall Academy was listed as the #1 District in the state.

The minimum number of credits to graduate is 28, but most Haas Hall scholars graduate with over 32 credits, many from the AP courses they take. Qualified scholars may take concurrent college classes from the University of Arkansas, Northwest Arkansas Community College, or other programs through accredited organizations of high learning. Haas Hall Academy offers athletics such as swimming and diving, bowling, cross country, track and field, basketball, tennis and golf. Athletics vary from campus to campus depending on the scholars enrolled and are supported by a Booster Club for each campus. Each campus also offers extracurricular activities such as JH/HS Beta Clubs, JH/HS Quiz Bowl, Model UN/Arab League, Green Team, HOSA, Scholar Council and many others as determined by campus scholars. These extracurricular activities expand the scholars' learning and develop leadership abilities.

Placement at Haas Hall Academy is determined by a blind lottery system with the first seat offers happening at the end of February of each year. Wait lists and additional applicants are then drawn at various times throughout the year depending on how many acceptances each campus receives from the first lottery. No one is enrolled after school begins.
