Ready to sweeten up your routine? Dive into a new hobby or level up a skill? Adult classes at the Jones Center provide opportunities to learn, grow and have a blast.
This spring, we have three six-week sessions available:
Jan. 6 – Feb. 23
Feb. 24 – April 13
April 14 – June 1
Enrollment is open for each session.

DANCE
Adult Ballet Level 1
Ages: 18+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23), Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13), Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Monday 6-7pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Experience the joy of learning ballet as an adult. Class covers the fundamentals through stretches, standing positions, arm movements and center work, with the option to progress to jumps and leaps. Low-impact alternatives are available. Beginners to intermediate are welcome!
Adult Ballet Level 2
Ages: 18+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23), Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13), Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Monday 7-8:30pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Improve or maintain your ballet skills. This 6-week class builds on the skills taught in the Level 1 class, allowing you to move to more advanced moves. This class is designed with intermediate-level dancers in mind.
Beginner Tap & Jazz
Ages: 18+
Offered: Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13)
Times: Tuesday 6-7:30pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Tap shoes on and jazz hands ready? This begginer class will take students through the basics of both tap and jazz dancing, from shuffles to jazz squares and more!
Biking
Bike Maintenance & Repair
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Saturday 12-12:45pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
For your trusty bike to stay in good working order, you need to occasionally return that love. In this class, you'll learn the basics of bike maintenance so you can keep your bike in great shape for many years. Whether you have a mountain bike or a BMX cruiser, this class covers everything from a routine pre-ride inspection to how to keep your drivetrain clean, lubricated and humming along.
COMEDY
Improv Comedy
Ages: 19+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23), Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13)
Times: Thursday 5:45-6:45pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Improv isn’t just for aspiring comedians. Whether you’re perfecting your standup routine or polishing your public speaking skills, the benefits of improv are universal. This class introduces students to the fundamental concept of “Yes, and” in improvisation. Through group games and exercise, students will explore impulse, spontaneity, listening, being present in the moment and other basic building blocks of improv.
LEARN TO SKATE
Adult Learn to Skate
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23), Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13), Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Tuesday 10-10:30am or Thursday 6-6:30pm
Cost: $67 members/$84 public
Adult Learn to Skate is great for beginners and skaters with some experience. Ice skating is a great way to stay active and learn something new! Our evening adult classes run at the same time as our kids learn to skate classes, so bring the entire family.
LEARN TO SWIM
Level 1
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23), Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13), Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Monday 6-6:45pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Teens and adults with little or no swimming background, this class is for you! Learn techniques for floating, breathing and movement, with the ultimate goal of being able to swim across the pool on your front and back! Classes are held in the shallow water of the leisure pool.
Level 2
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23), Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13), Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Monday 7-7:45pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Class is for adults who can swim but want to improve their comfort, skill and technique. Learn freestyle side-breathing, backstroke, an intro to the breaststroke and lap swimming etiquette. Classes are held in the leisure pool or lap pool depending on class size and ability.
PICKLEBALL
Intro to Pickleball
Ages: 18+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23), Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13), Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Tuesday 5:30-7pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Want to dive into the fastest growing sport in America? Certified Pickleball coach Scott Bartlett covers the basics including rules, areas of the court and techniques for hitting the perfect shot. Gain the skill and confidence you need to serve up some fun!
Level 2
Ages: 18+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23), Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13), Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Thursday 5:30-7pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Build on your fundamental skills with certified Pickleball coach Scott Bartlett. learned in Intro to Pickleball. Learn how to place the ball on the court, improve your swing and learn to avoid stepping into the "kitchen” the players non-volley zone.
ARTS
“Tell Your Story” Art Class
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 1 (Jan. 6 – Feb. 23)
Times: Tuesday 5:45-6:45pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
In this class, learn to lean into joy, grief, and the mundane through creativity and expression. We'll take students back through their life, highlighting their most influential moments through art. All supplies provided.
Photography for Beginners
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 2 (Feb. 24 – April 13)
Times: Tuesday 5:45-6:45pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
In this class, we'll make use of all devices- phone, tablet, camera etc.- to learn the basics of photography. Learn about framing, lighting, composition, and storytelling! In order to participate, students should bring their own personal device to class.
Painting for Beginners
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 3 (April 14 – June 1)
Times: Tuesday 5:45-6:45pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Come paint and socialize! Guided by our instructor, students will create a new art piece each week, learning tips and tricks to take your painting skills to the next level. All supplies provided.
