Half-day camps explore many different themes! Each camp is unique – be sure to check dates and age range to make sure your child qualifies and that the camp fits your schedule.  We’ve grouped camps into three learning categories and added quick identifiers with each camp’s description. You’ll find sessions featuring:

Parents, extend your camper’s day with the purchase of the afternoon add-on. The cost is $125 for public/$100 members. Available for grades 1-6.

 
 

1. CLIMB IT
JUNE 2-6 | 8am to 12pm
Grades 3-9

Climb to new heights with us at Climb It! Camp. Learn the basics of climbing and bouldering; no experience necessary. Climb It! camp teaches valuable lessons like leave no trace and first aid, inspiring you to think about your role in caring for the planet, yourself, and others. This camp will take place on and off the Jones Center campus. Transportation will be provided. Come climb with us! 

2. LEARN TO SKATE
JUNE 9-13 | 8am to 12pm, 8am to 4pm
JULY 7-11 | 8am to 12pm

Learn to Skate camp is for beginners who are interested in figure skating, ice hockey or just having fun on the ice. You’ll learn basic techniques like forward skating, backward skating, stopping, turning and more. At the end of the week, you’ll showcase what you’ve learned at a special performance for parents!

3. GADGETEERS ACADEMY
JUNE 9-13 | 8am to 12pm

Introducing Gadgeteers Academy, where you will learn the fundamentals of block coding and engineering in a fun and engaging environment. Program robots, build simple circuits, and solve engineering challenges that will impress your friends and family. Turn ideas into action while exploring the basics of technology and design. Perfect for curious minds, this camp encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and a love for innovation!

4. LEARN TO SWIM
JUNE 16-20 | 8am to 12pm
JULY 7-11 | 8am to 12pm

Learning to swim is fun at the Jones Center! You’ll gain the skills you need to conquer your fears and jump into the deep end. Learn to Swim Camp is designed for kids who have little to no experience with swimming, and teaches fundamental skills like floating, treading water, submerging, kicking, and moving through the water.

5. ARKANSAS RAZORBACK TWIRLING
Two Days! JUNE 2-3 | 8am to 12pm
Grades 1-12
$100 (members $80)

Experience the fun and challenge of baton twirling in this camp led by the University of Arkansas Razorback Twirlers! From basic twirls to more advanced routines, Razorback Twirlers will guide you every step of the way. Please bring your own baton for this camp. Families who need assistance, please contact Bree Bossier.

6. BROADWAY FULL OUT
JUNE 16-20 | 8am to 12pm
Grades 6-12
$150 (members $120)

All the world’s a stage, and at the Jones Center, you’re the star! During Broadway Full Out, you will focus on all three musical theater disciplines- dancing, singing, and acting. All skill levels are welcome. No more waiting in the wings; take your Broadway skills to the next level! Under the guidance of our theatre experts, you’ll build a production that will be performed live for parents on the last day of camp. We should warn you...there will be drama!

7. NEXT LEVEL SOCCER
JUNE 23-27 | 8am to 12pm
JULY 14-18 | 8am to 12pm

Join us on the field for Next Level Soccer camp. Let the pros from Next Level teach you how to dribble, shoot, defend and pass, while honing your coordination and developing confidence. Sign up now and get ready to score big!

8. UKULELE CAMP
JUNE 30-JULY 3 | 8am to 12pm
Grades 3-6
$200 (members $160)

Parents, please note: this holiday week camp is 4 days long. Learn the basics of Ukulele from strumming to chords to putting together a song! Ukulele is a beginner-friendly instrument and is perfect for an introduction to the world of music. Come play with us! You’ll gain skills, make music with friends, and at the end of camp you’ll take your Ukulele home. Keep on strumming!

9. KICKOFF TO KINDERGARTEN
JULY 7-11 | 8am to 12pm
For children entering Kindergarten
$175 (members $140)

  • YOUnG LEARNERS

Get a jump on Kindergarten the Amazeum way through hands-on STEAM activities. Your soon-to-be-scholar will get the building blocks of classroom success with our fun and playful explorations.  They’ll try out lessons in science, engineering, art, numbers and literacy. Designed especially for children entering kindergarten in Fall, 2025.

10. BALLIN’ OUT BASKETBALL
JULY 21-25 | 8am to 12pm
Grades 1-6

Learn the basics of basketball at Ballin’ Out Basketball camp. This action-packed week of hoops will help you develop skills in dribbling, shooting, passing and teamwork. All skill levels welcome. Whether you’re a future NBA star or just starting out, Ballin’ Out Basketball camp is a perfect slam dunk!

11. CAMP COMEDY
JULY 28 - AUGUST 1 | 8am to 12pm

The spotlight’s on you, and we know you’ll shine bright. At Camp Comedy, the focus is on improv comedy. Improv skills go far beyond performance. Camp Comedy will help you think on the fly and bring out your funniest self.  “Yes, and”… you’ll learn the essential skill of collaboration. Camp will end with a 50-minute performance at the Jones Center. It’s time to take to the stage- the joke’s on you!    

12. MYTHS & LEGENDS
AUGUST 4-8 | 8am to 12pm
Grades 1-6
$150 (members $120)

Where do myths and legends start? How do themes of bravery, magic, and nature turn into legends passed on throughout the ages? Get immersed in the rich storytelling traditions of Norse, Greek, Egyptian, Japanese, and Native American folklore. Each day features hands-on activities such as crafting Viking shields or designing Greek theater masks.   By the week's end, you’ll earn a deeper appreciation of diverse cultures and their timeless tales.
