The magic of contemporary circus is coming to downtown Springdale when the Jones Center presents Hideaway Circus “Canvas Sky” on Oct. 4-6.
Hideaway Circus is a new kind of American circus: open-air, family friendly and with world-class performers who combine acrobatics, storytelling and spellbinding artistry. Prepare to be amazed by high-flying aerial stunts, jaw-dropping acrobatics, juggling and more – all set to an original musical score.
“Canvas Sky” follows the story of a circus clown struggling to find his voice until a friend helps him discover how he is wonderful and unique. The heartfelt tale is centered on themes of self-acceptance and the power of uplifting one another.
“Canvas Sky” is an all-ages production performed on a custom-built circular stage and aerial rig, surrounded by the audience, under a canopy of sky and stars.

Hideaway Circus is a circus, dance and multi-media producing company founded and run by Brooklyn based creators Josh and Lyndsay Aviner. The company’s original live theatrical productions include: “Stars Above,” an American open-air touring circus; “Beyond Babel,” a two-time Drama Desk nominated dance show and a ‘Critics Pick’ of the The New York Times; “Reflex,” a unique theatrical experience that unravels 4,000 years of juggling; and the genre-defying slasher circus nightclub experience Slumber. Josh and Lyndsay have released over 135 episodes of Hideaway Circus Podcast with a behind-the-scenes look at the circus with interviews of creators, producers, and directors in the circus and related arts.
